Hey people! What's crackin? Hope everything's goin well for you guys. I know everyone's busy and stuff. I'm busy with A levels, others with poly projects and work,etc. Really miss the fun times we had last year preparing for Cantare 2. Hope that we can meet up soon, sing some songs and go down memory lane. Lookin' forward to our next performance and I hope it's real soon! Catch up with yall sometime. 2. More information on the caroling performance on Xmas eve:

Venue: Kranji Camp II

Attire: Tentatively, let's make it Alumni Tee with jeans and if we can get it, christmas hats!

Details: The army dudes will be running playing games in the morning, and then having brunch after that. Unconfirmed sources say that log cakes and turkeys will be on the menu. We'll be performing at the end of their activities, so expect them to hear us sing while they're munching on food. That might be around 10-11+ in the morning.

So, all that aside, can we have a practice on the upcoming weekend? Do tag or email or sms to arrange the caroling practice!

PS. Currently, the confirmed singers for caroling are jun wei, me, lina, meijing. If you can make it, please do! =x

Showcases how choreo can get a bit messy, and there is also slight rushing in the song. Some of the ending consonants of sentences are "clipped" off in the lyrics because the singers cut off too early.

2007 is here!

It's been a year since the Alumni was set up, and it's been a good start for a budding organisation. In the new year ahead, let's keep to our vision of spreading the love for music and passion for singing to young potentials. =)

As a side note, it'd be good for us to start thinking about possible performance opportunities in 2007.

28th November 2006 marked the 2nd day of the annual AI Choir Camp!

The AI choir held their very own Talentime, presenting a variety of performances ranging from the amalgamation of skits and witty humour to the song performances.

4 groups, aptly named STAB, Forte, Falsetto and A capella, performed in turn to compete for the Talentime championship. Interestingly, the championship seemed to consist of packets of kuay teow which was to be consumed by everyone for dinner.

STAB showcased the song "I Believe I Can Fly", complimented by the skit of a young butterfly/bird who wished to be able to fly. Following that was "I Have a Dream" by Forte, a melancholic but determined piece that set the atmosphere right from the beginning of the song.

Falsetto combined a slideshow which supported "Colours of the Wind" well, with an impressive solo by Cassandra in the beginning of the song. Colourful confetti showered throughtout the song topped off the delightful performance. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", performed by A capella, proved to be a highly entertaining performance with the addition of a "lion" amongst the midst of the singers.

A "Fashion Show" of sorts provided much entertainment and laughter, and Suhaizad has even very nobly presented himself as "ze top model who despises amateurs".

The Alumni itself did a presentation, with the aims of introducing itself to the junior members of the AI Choir. Suhaizad and Long Teng's "I Don't Care" debuted too, which was warmly received.

The above should cover the main events of the day.

Take note: Upcoming practice is on 9 December, at AISS, 9.30am to 12.00nn.

attire: causual, no slippers

i really hope that more members who r able to make it will turn up this sat as the attendance is bad.
The alumni will realli need ur commitment and support.
Please also inform ur friends about this coming practice.
Also be informed that practices will be held on every saturday morning without fail...

Sorry Lina, riding on ur post....

1) The principal expressed full support for the choir alumni and will be ready to provide
resources for us but on the followng conditions:

a) it involves the school
b) must go through the relevant teacher-in-charge (Miss Chan, Miss Rozi, Mdm Ian) of
choir first.

2) The band alumni has raised the issue of combining both choir and band alumni for 1 of the
sectment. Sheila is currently working on it and hope we'll soon have answers.

3) The principal has also expressed his concern about the number of active members and has
also notified me about trend of dwindling number of active alumni members.

and also, we need everyone's presence on the 22nd of this month as sheila is coming over.

i can only remember this much. should there be any more additions, i'll update them here.
